The Lampoon.

The new "Lampoon" contains several good and very original drawings. The picture showing "Lampy's Patent for Future Weld Races" is extremely timely and suggestive. The centre page, "Which is the American Girl We Hear so Much About?" consists of imitations of the American girls drawn by different well-known artists, and the general effect is certainly striking. The third picture in the series "As Others See Us," shows a row of solemn-looking students marching up to the college pump, each one holding tight a copy of the "Voice."

The editorials are more interesting reading than usual and the article on "Artie in Cambridge" is a clever take-off of a popular style of modern story. The third number of "Lispings of Little Lew" is even better than the preceding ones.
