The football game yesterday afternoon was won by Cochrane's team, Frost making a touch down in the first half on a blocked kick. Murchie's team, in general, put up a better game than on Thursday but was outpunted. The feature of the game was Cochrane's kicking, which was excellent.
With yesterday's game this year's spring football practice came to an end. The object of the work has been to teach the men in all the positions accuracy and readiness in handling the ball and quickness on their feet. With this end in view, emphasis has been laid on catching punts and starting, passing and falling on the ball.
On the whole the practice has been successful, as shown by the snappiness and comparatively little fumbling which marked the games of the last two days. More men have been out regularly this spring than in any previous year.
A few backs will probably be called out after the recess for practice in kicking.
