During the last two days the following letter has been circulated among members of the Faculty. It was telegraphed yesterday after the Faculty meeting.

"HARVARD UNIVERSITY, "CAMBRIDGE, MASS., April 5, 1898."To His Excellency, the President of the United States, Washington, D. C:

"We, members of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences of Harvard University, heartily commend and support you in your efforts to maintain peace.
