The annual match for the intercollegiate whist championship was played during the vacation at the Knickerbocker Whist Club in New York, and resulted in a victory for the Harvard eight, who made 32 tricks plus.

The pair scores for Harvard were: Kelly and Halle, 10 plus; Booth and Endicott, 9 plus; Morrill and Whitmore, 8 plus; Heilig and Robertson, 5 plus.

This is the fourth year that Harvard has won from Yale, but it was Princeton's first appearance.
