At an adjourned meeting of the Board of Overseers held on April 20, it was voted to concur with the president and fellows in electing Hans Carl Gunther von Jageman, professor of Germanic philology; Solon Irving Bailey, associate professor of astronomy from February last, and Dr. William Townsend Porter, associate professor of psychology from September 1.
The report of the special committee on requirements for admission to Harvard College and the Lawrence Scientific School was considered and a resolution was adopted to the effect that the admission requirements of the latter be steadily raised to substantial equality with those of the college.
