Harvard Defeats Woven Hose.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The 'Varsity won a six inning game from the Woven Hose nine yesterday afternoon on Holmes Field by the score of twenty-five runs to one.

The playing of the 'Varsity was, as a whole, a decided improvement over the form shown of late. The team got together much better at the bat than in the Tufts game, and in fielding accepted the comparatively few chances offered them with commendable accuracy. Only two errors were made and both were the result of hard earnest playing rather than of carelessness.

The batting orders follow:

Harvard-Laughlin, s. s.; Rand, l. f.; Haughton, 2b.; Burgess, r. f.; Lynch, c. f.; Foster, 3b.; McCornick, 1b.; Reid, c.; Hayes, p.

Woven Hose-Moore, 2b.; Judd, s. s.; Butman, 3b.; Mulvehill, 1b.; Clay, l. f.; Williams, r. f.; Gaytons, c. f.; Murphy, Pote, c.; Doherty, p.
