The Musical Clubs.

The Banjo Club, though recently handicapped by the resignation of the '98 members, is now doing excellent work, rehearsals being held regularly twice a week. At the trial for new members, which took place directly after the mid-years, very promising material showed up. The club has already given several successful concerts, besides having played at the Massachusetts Yacht Club and at the Vendome, March 4 and 5. The officers are: J. McD. Campbell '99, president; J. A. Burnham, Jr., '99, leader, and W. D. Smith '99, secretary.

The men now on the club are:

Banjeaurines-J. A. Burnham, Jr., '99, W. D. Smith '99, E. W. Poore '99, C. S. Cook '99, C. H. Bell 1900, C. M. Brown 1900, R. F. Tucker 1901, and N. B. Vanderhoof 1901.

Banjos-J R. Crocker '98, A. F. Barnes '98, W. C. Quinby '99, F. W. Blatchford '99, P. French '99, W. A. Hosley 1900, R. W. Foster 1900 and G. S. Morse 1901.

Guitars-F. L. Beecher '98, J. McD. Campbell '99, C. S. Edgell '99, S. K. Kerns 1G., P. Bancroft '99, J. M. Kullmer 1900 and W. S. Holt 1900.

The Mandolin Club was left in very good condition when the '98 men withdrew. The present officers are O. F. Richards '99, president; F. H. Purington '99, secretary, and A. C. Spalding '99, leader. The club dinner for regular members and '98 men who have played on the club will probably be held about the first of April. Most of the concerts for the rest of the year will be with the Glee and Banjo Clubs.

The following men are playing on the club:

'Cello-H. Coonley '99.

The officers of the Glee Club are: D. Fairbank '99, president; F. A. Turner '99, vice-president; J. F. Bacon '99, treasurer; B. H. Whitbeck '99, secretary; G. R. Osborne 1900, accompanist. The men now singing regularly on the club are as follows:

First Tenors-D. Fairbank '99, L. Ullman '99, and B. Taylor 1901.

Second Tenors-F. A. Turner '99, L. E. Ware '99, F. W. Blatchford '99, G. Root 1900, J. E. Sharkey 1900, and H. G. Parchen 1900.
