Rev. Professor A. V. G. Allen of Cambridge, delivered last night in Appleton Chapel the first of the William Belden Noble lectures, which this year are on the general subject, "The Message of Christ to Manhood." Professor Allen took for his subject, "Christ's Mission to the Individual Man," and dwels upon Phillips Brooks' interpretation of the text, "I am come that they might have life, and might have it more abundantly," and the influence of this interpretation upon the late William Belden Noble.
