Woodruff's First Performance.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Last night in Brattle Hall, Henry Woodruff gave his first special performance of three one-act plays, "On the Arcady Trail." "A Bit of Instruction," and "Chatterton the Dreamer." He was well assisted by a number of amateurs, including H. T. Nichols '97, A. F. Riggs '98 and L. L. Gillespie '98.

The performance was smooth and showed careful rehearsing. Woodruff showed his versatility in three quite different parts and came up to the highest expectations that his previous performances had raised. The audience was appreciative and enthusiastic, especially at the interpretation of the realistic part of Jack Despard, "of the Thalia Company" in "A Bit of Instruction." Tonight the performance will be repeated at 8 o'clock in Brattle Hall.
