The 'Varsity baseball candidates began work yesterday in the Carey Building. After taking a few grounders and sliding, the men ran over to the gymnasium and went through dumb-bell exercises.

The small size of the squad is due partly to the fact that the candidates were somewhat sifted out last fall.

The list of men who came out yesterday is as follows:

Infield-B. Vincent '98, G. Haskell '98, E. N. Gregory 1 L. S., D. Farrington 1900, E. F. Loughlin 1900, H. L. Ewer 1900, P. G. Carleton '99, L. Warren 1900, A. Galbraith '98, J. Nowell 1900, H. D. Fullen 1G, E. Stevens '98, D. F. Davis 1900, S. W. Lewis 1900, H. I. Foster '98, G. Cozzens '98, H. J. Holt '98, E. H. Foster 1900.

Outfield-E. Sears '99, F. Sterling '98, W. H. Lynch '99, J. Abbott '98, F. Goodridge '98.
