At the next meeting of the Cercle Francais, in the Colonial Club on Wednesday evening, February 16, M. Gibbe, the professional coach who is to direct the production of "Le Medecin Malgre Lui," will be present to talk to all men who wish to try for parts. Places in the cast and ballets are open to all members of the University properly qualified to fill them, and all men interested are urged to be present at the meeting and hand in their names to the manager, G. McC. Sargent '99.
A dress rehearsal of the play, open only to members of the Cercle, will be given at Brattle Hall on Saturday, April 9. The public performances will be given as follows: Monday, April 11, at Brattle Hall, Cambridge; Tuesday, April 12, at Copley Hall, Boston, and Thursday, April 14, at Brattle Hall. The posters and costumes for the play are being designed. The music will be that of Gounod, besides which there will be some compositions by W. H. Rand '98. Applications for tickets ($1 50) to the performances may be made to J. H. Hyde, 6 Claverley.
At the meeting on February 16, Professor Van Dael of M. I. T., will lecture before the club on Guy de Maupassant.
