Course in Mathematics.
During the second half-year, a course will be offered by Dr. F. H. Safford, under the auspices of the Mathematical Department, on "Least Squares and Precision of Measurements." The subject will be of especial interest to students in physics, astronomy, and civil engineering, and will be open to those who have taken Mathematics 2 or have a knowledge of elementary calculus.
