This afternoon at 3 o'clock on Holmes Field the 'Varsity nine will play its only game of the year with Georgetown University. After several days of rest the 'Varsity is now about to begin the last hard practice of the season, preparatory to the first Yale game on June 23. The improvement in the nine has gone steadily on since the first defeat by Princeton, and the game this afternoon should result in an easy victory.
Georgetown's record is not a very good one. Their only important victory was that over the University of Virginia on May 15, which won for them the championship of the South. In all their other important games they have been defeated, by the following scores: April 15, Yale, 9-7; April 17, Princeton, 10-1; April 19, Princeton, 15-7; May 22, Princeton, 18-2.
