Statistics of the 'Varsity Crew.

E. A. Boardman, Jr. '99, Boston, stroke, prepared for college at Noble and Greenough's and rowed for three years on the B. A. A. junior crew. Last year he stroked his freshman eight at Poughkeepsie, and after the class races this year was taken to the college crew, from which he was soon transferred to the 'Varsity. Boardman is 21 years old, 5 feet 10 inches in height and weighs 156 pounds.

David Marvin Goodrich '98, 7, and captain of the crew, come from Akron, O. He is a graduate of St. Paul's School, where he obtained his first experience in rowing on the Shattucks. Goodrich was considered the best oar in his freshman boat, and stroked the 'Varsity at Poughkeepsie last year. He is 21 years old, 6 feet in height and his weight is 1711/2 pounds.

John Forbes Perkins '99, of Milton, 6, prepared at Milton Academy, and rowed 4 in his freshman boat at Poughkeepsie. He stroked the 'Varsity during the first part of the season. Perkins is 19 years old, 6 feet in height and weighs 1671/2 pounds.

James Handasyd Perkins '98, of Milton, 5, prepared at Milton Academy and Hopkinson School. His freshman year Perkins rowed with the 'Varsity until he was obliged to stop on account of sickness. Last year he rowed 3 in the 'Varsity boat, and has been in training with the crew all this season. Perkins is 21 years old, 6 feet in height and weighs 178 pounds.

Albert A. Sprague, 2d, '97, 4, comes from Chicago. He prepared for college at St. Paul's, where he rowed on the Shattucks. During his freshman year he captained his crew and rowed No. 6, but his sophomore year he was not in college. Last year Sprague rowed 6 on the 'Varsity. He is 21 years old, 5 feet 11 inches in height and weighs 1761/2 pounds.

Edgar N. Wrightington '97, of Brookline, 3, prepared for college at the Brookline High School. He has played halfback on the eleven since he came to college, and was captain this year. Wrightington rowed on the 'Varsity at New London in his sophomore year. He is 22 years old, 5 feet 10 inches in height and weighs 1671/2 pounds.

C. C. Bull '98, 2, comes from San Francisco, where he graduated from the Belmont School. He rowed at 4 in his freshman boat, and was a 'Varsity substitute last year. He is 21 years old. 5 feet 10 inches in height and weighs 172 pounds.

George D. Marvin '99, bow, comes from New Rochelle, N. Y., and prepared for college with a tutor. He rowed on the New York Athletic Club senior crew for two years, and rowed at 3 in his freshman boat. Marvin was taken to the 'Varsity after the class races this year. He is 23 years old, 5 feet 11 inches in height and wieghs 154 pounds.

Stanley Hollister '97, substitute, comes from Santa Barbara, Cal., where he prepared at the Berkeley School. Hollister rowed at 2 in his freshman boat, and in his sophomore year was in the 'Varsity, until within a few days of the race he was obliged to stop on account of sickness. Last year he rowed 2 on the 'Varsity. He is 22 years old, 5 feet 11 inches in height and weighs 177 pounds.

Clarke Thomson, '99, substitute, is from Philauelphia, and prepared at Groton School, where he got some experience in rowing. Last year he rowed 6 in his freshman boat, and was rowing at 2 in the 'Varsity this season, until he gave way to Bull a short time ago. Thomson is 21 years old, 6 feet 1/2 inch tall and weighs 174 pounds.

C. H. McDuffie '99, substitute, is from Manchester, N. H. He prepared at St. Paul's School, where he rowed two years on the Halcyons. This year he rowed in his class crew, and was then taken to the college crew. McDuffie is 20 years old, 6 feet in height and weighs 166 pounds.

B. H. Whitbeck '99, substitute, of Rochester, N. Y., prepared at St. Paul's, where he rowed for two years on the Shattucks. Last year he rowed at 5 on his freshman crew, and rowed in his class boat this year until a short time before the races, when he was taken to the 'Varsity. Whitbeck is 20 years of age, 5 feet 101/2 inches in height and weighs 164 pounds.
