Princeton won the baseball series with Yale last Saturday, on Manhattan Field, by taking the third game, 22 to 8.
Though the game was poorly played on both sides, Princeton played much better ball than Yale, Inability to hit the ball and loose playing at critical times together with Princeton's heavy hitting accounted for Yale's defeat.
In the fifth inning Princeton knocked Feary out of the box and Hecker, Yale's left-handed pitcher, was put in. Jayne pitched a good game for Princeton, allowing but seven hits in nine innings.
Score by innings:
Innings 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
Princeton, 4 1 7 2 6 1 1 0 0-22
Yale, 2 0 1 3 0 1 0 0 1-8
