Owing to their game with Brown at Providence this afternoon the nine omitted their usual practice yesterday. As Brown has won two games from Harvard already this year by scores of 8-2 and 4-0, the game today will not affect the series, but Harvard should make a better showing as the playing of late has been more uniform.
It is doubtful whether Captain Dean will be able to play in the game as he is suffering from an attack of sore throat. In case he does not play Loughlin will take his place and the batting order will be somewhat changed and will be as follows:
Rand, l. f; Haughton, 1b.; Beale, c. f.; Scannell, c.; Stevenson, 3b.; Burgess, r. f.; Chandler, s. s.; Paine, p. Loughlin, 2b.
Sumersgill will be in the box for Brown.
