The chief event at Poughkeepsie yesterday was a change at 2 in the 'Varsity boat, where Bull took Thomson's place, in order to give the latter a rest. In the morning the work was poor, but in the afternoon Bull got into the swing, and the boat travelled well in spite of rough water. A three-mile stretch was rowed, followed by short spurts, in which the crew started by stroke's oar without the word.
