The Crews.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The University crew and substitutes have now been finally chosen. Beside the regular crew, Hollister, Bull, Whitbeck and McDuffie will go to Poughkeepsie as substitutes.

The following men were measured yesterday for 'Varsity boating clothes: Goodrich, Boardman, Perkins '98, Perkins '99, Sprague, Wrightington, Thomson, Marvin, Hollister, Bull, Whitbeck and McDuffie.

The College crew rowed a mile race with B. A. A. yesterday afternoon, starting at the Union Boat house and finishing by the Harvard Bridge. At the start Harvard was slightly ahead, but for nearly three-quarters of a mile the crews were almost even, each in the lead alternately. Then about a quarter of a mile from the finish the College boat drew ahead and won by a length.

The College crew will be kept together until next week, when it will be broken up by the departure of some of the men for Poughkeepsie. Moulton, however, strained his side in the race yesterday and will be unable to row any longer. His place will be taken for the few remaining days by Fitzgerald, a Freshman substitute.
