The Freshmen defeated the College nine yesterday in a slow and uninteresting game by a score of 6-4. The fielding of both teams was very loose, and only a few hits were made by either side. The College nine led until the seventh inning, when the Freshmen scored four runs on an error, a base on balls, and three hits.
The features of the game were Morse's home run for the College nine and double plays by Gregory and Foster, and Loughlin, Farrington and Lewis for the Freshmen. The score by innings:
Innings. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
1900, 1 0 0 0 0 1 4 0 0-6
College, 1 2 0 0 0 1 0 0 0-4
