Harvard defeated Pennsylvania in the baseball game on Saturday by the score of 6-2. The Harvard nine put up a firstclass game and clearly outplayed thier opponents. Paine pitched in excellent form, striking out seven men and allowing only three hits. Beale's good work at center was also notable.

Pennsylvania was shut out in the first inning, but a three-base hit, aided by a wild throw from third, enabled Beale to score the first run for Harvard. In the second, Chandler got to first on an error by Robinson, Paine bringing him home with a two-bagger. Rand then sent an easy fly to second which Robinson muffed, allowing Paine to score.

Pennsylvania's first run was made in the third inning as a result of Chandler's wild throw to first, and the second was only made after Dean had dropped a thrown ball which should have retired the side. In the fifth, Harvard again scored, Huston allowing Rand to get home from third by his slow throw after a catch. Harvard's run in the sixth was due to another misplay by Pennsylvania. Burgess was caught between first and second, but Ritchie made a wild throw into right field in an attempt to get the ball to first, and Burgess came in. The last run was well earned by Burgess' long drive into right field for a home run.

Dickson's pitching was strong and steady, but his support was poor and Harvard's good work at the bat won the game. The score:
