Exeter Beats the College Nine.

The College nine was defeated by the Phillips Exeter Academy nine at Exeter, yesterday afternoon, by the score of 4 to 3. The game was well played and interesting throughout, and the winning runs were made with two men out. Gregory pitched well until the ninth inning, when he gave a base on balls and allowed four hits, which won the game for Exeter. Carter pitched a fine game for Exeter, striking out several men with the bases full and rising to the occasion at critical points. The score by innings:
