The North Shore Athletic Club nine beat the College nine in an exciting game by a score of 4 to 3 at Clifton, Saturday afternoon. The College nine made more hits and fewer errors than their opponents but were unable to make their hits at critical times. The features of the game were a difficult one-handed stop by McVey and a double play by McVey, Holt and Foster.
In the ninth inning Slade split one of his fingers and will probably be unable to play again this season. His loss will seriously affect the team.
