The Freshman debate with the Sophomore members of the Union will take place tonight in the Fogg Art Museum at 7.30 o'clock. The question for debate will be: "Resolved, That the action of Mr. Cleveland in vetoing the recent immigration bill was commendable." The Freshmen will support the negative. Each speaker will be allowed ten minutes in the opening speeches and five minutes in the rebuttal.
The men will speak in the following order: Sophomores-G. R. Stobbs, R. L. Hoguet, F. O. White; Freshmen-J. A. Richards, W. P. Eaton, S. B. Southworth. The alternates are R. C. Bolling 1900 and C. G. Dolman '99. The judges will be President Capen of Tufts College, Professor Taussig and Dean Briggs. Pro-Baker will preside.
The debate is open to the public, but seats in the first four rows will be reserved for members of the debating clubs until 7.25 p. m. After the debate the Freshman Debating Club will give a supper to the debaters at the Colonial Club.
