At the Geological Conference last evening in the laboratory, Professor Davis gave a talk on "The Deflective Force of the Earth's Rotation," with special reference to wind currents.

Mr. R. J. Forsy the then spoke at some length on "Some Phenomena of Steel" and the action of steel under heat influences. The subjects were discussed by Professor Shaler and the men who were present.
