Baseball on Holmes Field.

Yesterday afternoon a large crowd of students turned out to see the 'Varsity nine play on Holmes Field for the first time this year. Unfortunately a short while after the nine had begun to practice the rain came down so steadily that they had to stop much earlier than usual. Only three innings were played, but the work of the men, both in batting and fielding, was very encouraging.

The make-up of the 'Varsity was: p., Fitz.; c., Davis; 1b., Haughton; 2b., Dean, McVey; 3b., Stevenson; s. s., Hayes, Chandler; l. f., Rand; c. f., Lynch; r. f., Burgess.
