Civil Service Smoke Talk.

Mr. Richard H. Dana '74, of Cambridge, was the speaker at the smoke talk of the Civil Service Reform Club yesterday evening. He gave a general view of the reform, showing with much clearness its objects and methods, and meeting conclusively the common objections of the spoilsmen. In concluding, he spoke of the need for young men to take up the work and carry it on; and made an earnest appeal to those present to take an interest in the reform.

The address was on the whole one of the most interesting which has been delivered before the club.
