New Boat House.

Professor Hollis of the Athletic Committee, Mr. Lehmann, and Mr. J. J. Storrow '85, attended a meeting of Harvard graduates held in New York Saturday evening to consider a new boat house. Professor Hollis presented the matter to the graduates and it was discussed, and a committee was appointed to raise $25000 if possible, to erect a new building.

It is felt that a new boathouse is needed and it is hoped the money can be raised. The style of building and its situation are matters for consideration. The building must be placed where it will be most useful in the further development of the University; possibly on Soldiers Field; possibly on the other side of the river near the bridge.

It is suggested that beside the necessary equipments for the crew there should be added a room for meetings and a trophy room. The latter could be easily filled, while the usefulness of the former is evident. Although no immediate action is probable and work could hardly be begun for a year, the situation and plan are to be determined, and discusis invited.
