The Freshman nine played its first game Saturday, defeating the Boston Latin School team 21-0 in a seven inning game.
Boston Latin played an all around weak game. The Freshmen batted well, but their base running was not up to the mark. In the field, the few chances were accepted without errors. McCornick's work in the box was first class; he struck out 8 men, giving no bases on balls and but one hit. At the bat he made one single and two doubles. Ewer and Lewis also batted well.
Following is the score by innings:
1 2 3 4 5 6 7
Harvard 1900, 2 3 7 7 0 2 x-21
