Harvard Students To Vote on Divestment From Israel in Inaugural HUA Election Survey
In accordance with the plan to hold regular monthly debates between the Union and the Forum, the date for the first debate has been set for Friday, March 12. Two principal disputants will represent each club and the debate, which will begin in Sever 11 at 7.30, will be left open to speakers from the house until 9.30. The agreement provides that as the series continues new principal disputants shall be chosen until all members of the clubs have in turn filled the position.
The question for Friday will be "Resolved, That the conduct of the United States Senate in recent years justifies the conclusion that is has suffered a permanent deterioration." The Union, which will support the affirmative, will be represented by R. E. Olds '97 and J. P. Hall L. S. The Forum speakers will be W. S. Youngman L. S. and W. E. Hutton L. S.
Books have been reserved in the library for preparation of the subject. Some member of the Faculty will act as critic but no decision will be rendered.
