Each man will play one game with every other man at the appropriate odds, ranging as follows: Class I gives pawn and move to Class II, pawn and two moves to Class III, Knight to Class IV, Rook to Class V. The Pawn given in play at odds of Pawn and move or of Pawn and two moves is the King's Bishop's Pawn. In play at odds of Knight or of Rook, the Queen's Knight or Rood are removed.
The games are to be finished by April 15. All games not played by that time will be considered as lost to both players, or awarded to the player who shall be deemed by the executive committee to have made sufficient effort, though unsuccessful, to play off the game in question.
The results of all games should be handed in at Grays 25 as early as possible.
