Two eights and three or four substitutes are still in training for the Senior crew. It is as yet too early to criticise the men individually but as a whole they row fairly well together, though at times they are very uneven on the catch.
Tuesday for the first time they rowed in the tank and were coached by Hollister, Duffield, Dunlop and Chatman.
The order was as follows: Stroke, Sanders; 7, Stevens; 6, Sleeper; 5, Dexter; 4, Sullivan; 3, Gleason; 2, Scattergood; bow, Rantoul.
The second crew is composed mostly of new men and though very awkward at present contains promising material. Mr. Goodenough, who has consented to coach this year, was out Saturday and spoke encouragingly of the material.
The management has rented a shell from the Shawmute and a barge from the 'Varsity, and though paying off its debts, is in need of the full support of the class if the crew is to go to a training table.
