The Mineralogical Museum has received three valuable new specimens this year. One, a crystal of gem tourmaline, weighing three pounds, presented by a member of the class of '63 is on exhibition in the case of gems; another, a magnificent specimen of rhodochrosite from Colorado is in the systematic collection on the main floor; and the third, a large specimen of yellow barite from the Bad Lands, Dakota, is in a wall case in the gallery.
