The attention of Mott Haven men is called to the new regulation of the Amateur Athletic Union providing for the registration before the last day of February of all amateur athletes. The regulation reads that "on and after March 1, 1897, in no meeting, game or entertainment that has been sanctioned or scheduled by the Amateur Athletic Union or any of its branches as an open athletic meeting, shall an athlete's entry be accepted unless he shall have received from the secretary of the Amateur Athletic Union a numbered certificate of registration, stating that he is an amateur and eligible to compete in amateur sports."

Registration blanks may be obtained of Mr. Lathrop at any time. The registration fee is $1.00.
