Yesterday afternoon the number of candidates for the 'varsity crew was reduced to sixteen men. These men have been selected by Captain Bullard because of their general ability and their unity in weight, size and promise. That Donald, an entirely new man, should be placed on the first crew is a good example of the policy to be pursued this year, viz: that the eight is to be made up of men with the best physique and general spirit who can be taught to row properly. Following is the order in which the two crews rowed:
FIRST. SECOND.
Hollister, Stroke Stillman.
Jennings, 7 A. Brewer.
Sprague, 6 Wheeler.
Perkins, 5 Chapman.
Stevenson, 4 Ames.
Donald, 3 Moulton.
Bullard, 2 Hayes.
Goodrich, Bow Hall.
