The Annual Whist Tournament.

The following rules have been drawn up to govern the play of matches in the coming annual whist tournament, entries for which closed Saturday night:

1. A match shall consist of sixteen hands and the replay.

2. Every couple shall play with every other couple in the same section.

3. All tie matches shall be played off.

4. The rules of the American Whist League shall govern all matches; the loss of two tricks being the penalty for a revoke.

5. Hearts shall be trumps in all matches.

6. The scores of all matches signed by both couples shall be handed in at the specified time.

7. All disputed points shall be left to the decision of the committee.
