The 'Varsity and Freshman candidates for battery positions have been practicing daily in the cage since Monday. Yesterday afternoon C. J. Paine '97, G. F. Cozzens '98 and W. S. Fitz '99, pitchers, and E. P. Davis '99, G. Burrage '98. catchers of the 'Varsity squad practiced at the Carey Building. Time Keefe, who coached the pitchers last year, did the coaching and the Freshman candidates were taken charge of by Captain Dean. H. N. Stearns '99 came out yesterday as candidate for pitcher.
