Shot-Putting Contests.

The H. A. A. is to give three prizes for putting the 16 lb shot. Four weekly indoor competitions will be held in the Gymnasium on succeeding Saturdays, the first one coming next Saturday afternoon at half past two.

One of the prizes will be for the best individual put in any of the four contests; another will be for the best average for the four contests, the average of each contestant to be made up from his best puts in each of the competitions. The nature of the third prize has not yet been decided, but will be announced later.
