For the past three weeks about thirty men under the leadership of Captain Bigelow, have been daily going through the customary gymnasium exercises for the Mott Haven team squad. There has also been high jumping practice in order to perfect the style of the jumpers rather than to attain any great height, the bar never being over 5 ft. 6 in.
The last drill of this squad was held yesterday afternoon, and on Wednesday, January 5th, work will begin for all the candidates.
