Harvard Still On Track To Reach Fossil Fuel-Neutral Status by 2026, Sustainability Report Finds
Thirteen men met at the Gymnasium last evening and formed an organization under the name of the "Harvard Water Polo Team." F. W. Pope 1901, was elected temporary chairman, and D. C. Williams 1901, temporary secretary. These officers constitute a committee to draw up a provisional constitution, and arrange the rules and plans of the team. The club probably will adopt the rules now used by the Boston Athletic Association, and not the National rules, as it has been informally suggested that the B. A. A. team will hold practice games with the Harvard team in the B. A. A. tank. Half-hour practice will be held three or four times a week. Several games can be arranged with water polo teams, although no negotiations have yet taken place. The game does not demand very strong swimmers, and Dr. Sargent considers it an exceedingly good form of exercise. There will be another meeting of the team immediately after the recess, at which the committee will report as to the conference with the Boston Athletic team.
