The 'Varsity's second day of secret practice revealed the same faulty characteristics that have marked their work of the past few days. The men all seemed to need a rest and as a result played with a lack of energy that such a necessity invariably provokes.
The 'Varsity, composed chiefly of substitutes, lined up for a couple of lively halves with the second in which the play, though marked by occasional streaks of brilliant work, was as a whole slow and discouraging. The plays were run off poorly, there was a confusion of signals, and the backs in general showed poor headwork in their running.
