Rev. William Henry Furness, D. D., of the class of 1820, died on Thursday at his home in Philadelphia.
Dr. Furness before his death was the oldest living graduate of the University. He was born in Philadelphia on April 21, 1803, and entered the public Latin School in 1812. He graduated from the College in 1820 and from the Divinity School in 1823. In 1847 he received the degree of doctor of divinity from Harvard, and that of doctor of letters from Columbia at its centenial in 1887.
