The second debate of the Sophomore Debating Club was held last evening in Sever 11. The question was: "Resolved, That party allegiance is preferable to independent action in municipal politics, as illustrated in the recent New Yark city election." The speakers on the affirmative were O. D. Evans and B. Brooks; on the negative, P. A. Atherion and H. A. Wadleigh. There was a little more life in the debate than in that of last week, but the speakers did not get down to the real arguments on the question. About forty members were present. The next debate will be held on December 3.
