The herbarium at the Botanical Garden is continually getting new specimens of rare plants, some of which come named and others unidentified. Dr. Robinson and his assistants are at present occupied in arranging a large and valuable collection of plants from Mexico. A box of plants has just been received from Alaska but has not yet been opened. It is feared that few of the specimens will prove to be in good condition, owing to the difficulty of collection in Alaska.
