The 'Varsity was given harder practice than usual yesterday, as Monday is one of the regular days when the first eleven lines up for hard work. The preliminary running and dropping on the ball was followed by fifteen minutes practice of signals. There was considerable blundering owing to the absence of several of the regular men.
The two ten minute halves which followed showed some good though rather loose football, Cozzens and Richardson both scoring. Although the 'Varsity made two touchdowns, they by no means forced the playing. The second eleven made repeated gains of ten and fifteen yards, through tackle and guard. Sanborn again distinguished himself by making two runs of about twenty yards. Besides this he was quick and active in following the ball. Brown who played full back on the first eleven showed considerable improvement in form over last week.
Cochrane was out but did not play. It is feared that Doucette's injury may keep him from playing for several days. Mackie '94, and Waters '95, watched the practice.
