All four captains had their first crews boated yesterday afternoon, and each crew made a distinct improvement over the work of last week. All the thirty-two candidates reported at the boat house and each man had some tubbing practice.

The first crews rowed in the following order:

First-Stroke, Goodrich '98; 3, Adams '99; 2, Blake '99: bow, DuBois '98.

Second-Stroke, H. Adams '98; 3, Perkins '98; 2, Byrd 1900; bow, Marvin '99.

Third-Stroke, Perkins '99, 3, Biddle 1900; 2, Brown 1900; bow, Wood '98.

Fourth-Stroke, Bull '98; 3, McDuffie '99; 2, Higginson 1900; bow, Dobyns '98.
