RECEPTION TO NEW STUDENTS.

According to the custom established four years ago, the annual meeting for new students will be held tonight in Sanders Theatre at 8 p. m. Here addresses will be delivered by President Eliot and other members of the Faculty, and it is also hoped that Governor Wolcott will speak. Professor Shaler will preside over the meeting and will speak first. He will then introduce the President, Rev. S. McC. Crothers. formerly of the Board of Preachers, Professor Palmer, and C. Grilk '98, who will welcome the newcomers on behalf of the undergraduates.

A reception in Memorial Hall will follow, as in previous years. All members of the Faculty and all students are cordially invited, as it is intended by these receptions at the beginning of the term, to give the incoming class an opportunity to become acquainted and also to bring together the whole body of undergraduates and the Faculty.
