SECRET PRACTICE.

The Team Will Work in Secret on Thursdays.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The 'Varsity practiced yesterday in secret for the first time this year. It is proposed to work in this way on Thursdays hereafter. The line men showed greater activity than they have displayed for some time past, but the old former slowness was much in evidence back of the line. The backs could not get started well and the plays lacked impetus.

The first and second elevens lined up for a short half as follows:

'VARSITY. SECOND.

Lewis, l. e. r. e., Graydon.

Wheeler, l. t. r. t., G. M. Sargent.

Boal, l. g. r. g., Burnett.

Doucette, Burden, c. c., Hoague.

Shaw, Haskell, r. g. l. g., R. Sargent.

Mills, r. t. l. t., Littig.

Richardson, r. e. l. e., Stoddard.

Garrison, Cochrane, q. b. q. b., Farley.

Parker, l. h. b. r. h. b., Wadsworth.

Sullivan, r. h. b. l. h. b., Livermore.

Cozzens, r. h. b.

R. Brown, Haughton, f. b. f. b., Brown.

Neither side scored. The 'Varsity tried a number of new plays without much success. In the second half the Sophomores opposed the 'Varsity who only scored on them once.

Owing to the disbanding of the B. A. A. team November 3rd is an open date.
