The following letter of condolence has been sent to the parents of the late Arthur T. Filling '98, by the committee of the class appointed for that purpose:

CAMBRIDGE, Oct. 16, 1897.

DEAR MR. AND MRS. PILLING:

In the death of your son, Arthur Thomas Pilling, our class has lost a staunch and beloved member, known for his pluck, manliness and real worth.

We thoroughly appreciate how severe a blow his loss has been to you, and in the fellowship of sorrow, we extend our heartfelt sympathy.
