In the game with Williams on Saturday, the Yale team made a very good showing, the score of 32 to 0 being 12 better than that made by Harvard a week earlier. Yale's team was composed almost entirely of new men, not one of whom is as yet assured of his position, and yet they showed evidence of considerable training. Twenty men were tried in all, eight new men being put in during the second half.
Yale's chief weakness seemed to be in the interference and in the inexperience of her backs, which made punting impossible. However, Yale played fast football, especially worthy of comment from the fact that six or seven of her best players are not playing at present, so that most of the work was done by substitutes.
