The Veterinary School.

An interesting department in the Harvard School of Veterinary Medicine is the Charity Hospital on Northampton Street, Boston. It is now arranged so that every afternoon between 1 and 3 p. m., free advice and treatment is given by the senior class, under the direction of the instructor, P. J. Cronon, M. D. V.

From February, 1896, when the "Free Clinic" at this hospital was first opened to the public, to August, some 1200 cases were treated. In this way, valuable practical instruction for the students is combined with charity to those who can not afford to pay for the best veterinary treatment of the animals they own.
